Back for the second year, Canon PhotoMarathon Asia unites all amateur and professional photographers in the region by challenging them to complete a series of photography assignments under the pressure of time.

Your creativity and endurance to complete the marathon will give you a chance to win attractive Canon prizes and/or a Photo Clinic in New Zealand under the lead of a professional photographer. Click your respective countries on the left to learn more!

Date: 24 November to 2 December 2008
Venue:  South Island, New Zealand

01.Each country is entitled to send only 2 winners as country representatives for the Canon Photo Clinic.

02.If a winner is unable to go for the Photo Clinic, Canon will choose the next best participant from the country to go as the country representative.

03.The venue and date of the Photo Clinic will be determined by Canon. Canon reserves the right to make any necessary changes, without prior notice, to the logistics of the Canon Photo Clinic.

04.Canon will make all necessary arrangements for transport, accommodation and meals and will bear the cost for these areas, except in instances where there are free & easy arrangements. All other incidental expenses incurred by the winners will not be covered by Canon.

05.Winners must adhere to Canon’s arrangements for the Canon Photo Clinic. Winners attending the Photo Clinic must follow the designated itinerary strictly, during the official programme hours.

06.Should the Canon Photo Clinic be cancelled in the event of unexpected circumstances, Canon will compensate the winners with other single or combined prizes as decided by Canon.

07.Winners must bring their own cameras for the Canon Photo Clinic. As reviews and critiques of the shots can only be carried out in digital format, all winners are encouraged to bring a digital camera.

08.Winners are encouraged to bring along their laptops/notebook computers to allow editing and reviewing of photos.

09.Canon reserves the rights to use any photos taken by all winners and participants of the Canon Photo Clinic, without compensation, for any publicity related to existing or future Canon Photo Marathons and other Canon events. Winners retain the rights to use their own photos for their own purposes.

10.Winners are responsible for their own luggage arrangements, and shall be responsible for their own travel insurance coverage.

11.Winners are required to observe the laws and regulations of the host country. Canon shall not be held responsible for any infringements of the law by any winner attending the Canon Photo Clinic.

12.Winners below the age of 18 must get parental consent to attend the Canon Photo Clinic.

13.Canon reserves the right to make any other amendments without prior notice.
