High School Musical: My School Rocks Contest

It’s boogey time! Disney Channel shines the limelight on High School Musical fans as it launches the first regional inter-school dance competition in Southeast Asia with “High School Musical: My School Rocks!”

Sponsored by SilkyGirl, “High School Musical: My School Rocks” draws inspiration from the hit Disney Channel franchise. The contest is open to primary and secondary school students aged 10 to 17 in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Korea, Hong Kong, Palau and Papua New Guinea. Any number of teams comprising two to five schoolmates can get together to represent their school in the inter-school dance competition in Asia.
BRING IT ON!: The High School Musical Cheerleaders.

Each team will choreograph their own original dance moves to either Getcha Head in the Game from High School Musical or What Time is It? from High School Musical 2.

They then record their performance on video and upload their entry by June 30 to http://www.disneychannel-asia.com or send it to:

Twenty teams that make the cut will have their videos featured on http://www.disneychannelasia.com in July where children across the region get to vote online for their teams.

Voters need to vote for two teams and those teams must be from two different countries. The four teams with the highest number of online votes will compete in front of a live audience at the “High School Musical: My School Rocks” Asia Finals in Hong Kong Disneyland.

PRIZE:
The winning team then gets the once-in-a-lifetime experience of taking the stage with the latest and one of the hottest park attractions at Hong Kong Disneyland, the “High School Musical: Live!” performance.

In addition, all finalist teams who compete against each other in Hong Kong Disneyland will have their performances produced into a show that will be aired on Disney Channel across the region.
