The PanaGeek Hunt 2007 consist of 2 rounds of contests

Qualifying Round
Only 100 contestants will be selected.
- Participants need to go through written test at qualifying round.
- The written test is a three hour test consisting of multiple choice and problem solving sections.
- The scopes of the test are covering General Programming knowledge in C/C++ and General IT knowledge.
Venue PJ Hilton, Jalan Barat, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Final Round
Only top 20 Scorer from Qualifying Round will be selected.
- Participants will be group into teams to develop a software proposal.
- Team members are given 8 hours to present their solutions.
- The coverage of the assignment includes general software design as well as User Interface
Venue PRDCM, Cyberjaya

Rules and Regulations
1. Answers must be provided by using C / C++ programming languages.
2. Contestants are not allowed to bring any reference books to the contest.
3. Digital source codes (stored in removable drives, mobile phone, the Internet or other sources are not allowed to be used during the contest).
4. Any ways of cheating is prohibited during the contest.

Terms and Conditions
1. By joining the contest, contestants agree to be bounded by the terms and conditions of the contest.
2. An eligible contestant must fulfill all the conditions stated below:
i. A citizen of Malaysia aged 25 years or younger.
ii. Enrolled as a student in a course that grants a Degree in any university or college.
iii. Must not be an employee, or direct family member of the employee in Panasonic R&D Centre Malaysia.
iv. Undergraduates undergoing internship or industrial training program in Panasonic R&D centre Malaysia anytime from 1st October 2007 to 31st January 2008 are not eligible to join the contest.
3. Contestants must provide the correct and up-to-date information for registration purposes. Contestants that 1) are not eligible; or 2) provide fraudulent information; will be automatically disqualified.
4. All decisions made on: i) selection of contestants qualified for the Qualifying Round and Final Round; and ii) evaluation of the viability of answers given by contestants of the contest; and iii) selection of winners of the contest; are final and solely based on the criteria made by Panasonic R&D Centre Malaysia. Shortlisted contestants for the Qualifying Round and Final Round of the contest will be notified through email.
5. The top 20 performing contestants of the Qualifying Round are required to be present during the Final Round of the contest.
6. Panasonic R&D Centre Malaysia reserves the right to withdraw cash and prizes won by a contestant during the First Round if the contestant failed to attend the Final Round of the contest.
7. All decisions made by Panasonic R&D Centre Malaysia are final.
8. As a condition for winners of the contest, winners agree to license to Panasonic R&D Centre Malaysia the rights to all information submitted during the contest (including source codes, design documents, ideas, etc…).
9. Job offers to join Panasonic R&D Centre Malaysia will be granted to winners upon their graduation from respective universities.
