
CELEBRATING 60 years of technical partnership with Ferrari, Shell is offering motoring fans an opportunity to experience the 2008 Formula One Grand Prix “live”. All Shell customers will have a chance to live their Formula One dreams when they fuel up at Shell stations nationwide.
They will be given the chance to win one of eight Grand Prix Holiday Packages to locations which include Bahrain, Turkey, Spain and Great Britain. The package includes grand stand tickets for two, return fl ight tickets, accommodation and RM5,000 cash. “Shell is bringing the exhilaration and passion of Formula One to all Malaysians.
We want our customers to benefi t from Shell’s longstanding successful technical partnership with Ferrari ,” said Shell Malaysia Trading Sdn Bhd managing director Datuk Mohzani Wahab. “From a motor racing circuit near the Silverstone village to the state-ofthe-art circuits of Bahrain International, Sepang and Circuit de Catalunya, sports enthusiasts will fi nd this promotion an opportunity of a lifetime.”
The contest being held from Sept 18 to Nov 14 requires Shell customers to fuel up and submit contest forms with original receipts at Shell stations nationwide. Every RM30 worth of any Shell fuel qualifies for one contest submission, while customers who fuel up with Shell V-Power Racing will have twice the chance.
“Shell V-Power Racing is the only high-performance fuel in Malaysia and is a result of a long-term collaboration with Ferrari that has helped Shell advance track performance fuels which have enhanced consumer fuels,” said Mohzani. “Shell V-Power Racing is the culmination of the technological advancement coming out of Shell and Ferrari’s shared passion for performance in the motor sports arena. This promotion aims to reconnect customers emotionally with their love of driving,” he added. In conjunction with the 60-year celebrations, Shell has also produced a television advertisement entitled Circuit, which encapsulates the essence of Shell’s partnership with Ferrari. Filmed on the streets of Rio de Janeiro, Australia, New York, Hongkong, Monaco and Rome, the advertisement uses five different Formula One cars from across the decades to show the evolution of the Shell and Ferrari partnership. “Circuit highlights Shell’s longstanding partnership with Ferrari and, most importantly, the innovation that stems from that partnership - Shell’s V-Power Racing fuel, which uses 99% of the same components as the fuel used by Ferrari in Formula One. What we learn on the track we put on the road in the form of Shell V-Power Racing,” added Mohzani.
